the UAE is at the forefront of nations that harness Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies
The Interregional Center for Strategic Analysis in Abu Dhabi has affirmed that the UAE’s utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the energy sector aligns with the country’s steadfast commitment to enhancing efficiency, sustainability, safety, and productivity.
By adopting AI solutions, the UAE remains at the forefront of nations that harness Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies to proactively address challenges across vital sectors.
Sustain and advance the energy sector by AI
The UAE continues its efforts and international collaborations to sustain and advance the energy sector.
This commitment was underscored during the G7 Summit in Italy, where discussions focused on AI and energy.
The country actively seeks additional global partnerships and embraces cutting-edge technologies to drive sectoral development.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, in collaboration with Heriot-Watt University in the UK, released two research papers.
The first paper centered around AI and machine learning technologies to address energy demand, particularly in renewable energy.
While the second paper explored the impact of climate change on demand management.
Abu Dhabi Department of Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese electricity company.
The MOU aims at enhancing the energy transition and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
Developing Solutions to Address Challenges
Furthermore, the joint venture company AIQ (a collaboration between ADNOC and Group 42), specializes in AI-powered applications, announced several agreements with global energy companies.
These partnerships aim to develop solutions and address challenges faced by the sector.
Notably, collaborations with Halliburton and Honeywell will leverage AI technologies in exploration and production operations within ADNOC.
AIQ has developed over 20 AI applications and holds 16 patents, contributing to increased efficiency and enhanced value across ADNOC’s operations.
