AI Film Festival by Dubai Expo City has revealed the top 10 entries in the shortlist of films nominated for awards.
Moreover, it has invited the public to vote for their favorite film to determine the winner of Audience Choice Award.
In fact, the shortlist features a distinguished global selection of films.
Which embody the ability to combine technological innovation and artificial intelligence in creative cinematic work.
Anyone from anywhere in the world can watch the ten short films on the AI Film Festival website and cast their vote before the deadline of February 9, 2024.
Top 10 Nominated Films for AI Film Festival
The ten filmmakers will participate in the awards ceremony on February 29 in Dubai Expo City.
Which will honor the winners in the four award categories of the festival – Audience Choice, Best Film, Best Director, and AI Choice.
The shortlist includes:
- “Buyer Beware” directed by Christian Fleischer (Germany)
- “The Enfilade of Worlds” directed by Artem Golynkov (UAE)
- “The Final Ascent” directed by Emad Khalid (Pakistan)
- “My Word” directed by Carmi Pochi Mori (Spain)
- “One More Pumpkin” directed by Hansel von Koon (Korea)
- “Oracle” directed by Thibaud and Claire Zamora (France)
- “PLSTC” directed by Lane Sanchez (Netherlands)
- “The Sad Clown Pagliacci” directed by Alessandro Carnival (Switzerland)
- “The Seed” directed by Daniel Ortiz (Spain)
- “TRETA” by Francesco Cerro (Italy).
Evaluation
Twelve competition judges and experts evaluated the applications based on the quality of film production.
In addition to the clarity of narrative and message, innovation and creative exploration, and integration of AI.
In order to reach the shortlist and also to choose the winners in the Best Film and Best Director categories.
While the fourth and final award is the unique AI Choice Award.
It is determined by the AI model of Dubai Expo City and sponsored by G42.
Which uses a combination of the latest AI technologies to evaluate films by extracting, analyzing, and evaluating sound, images, scenes, and stories.
The model offers a new angle through which films can be appreciated and evaluated, not only produced.
The AI Film Festival continues to explore the integration of AI and the film industry through interactive sessions.
