UAE provides Food Assistance to People Affected by Landslide in Philippines
The United Arab Emirates provided food supplies to help thousands of people affected by heavy rains that caused flooding and landslide in Philippines southern province named Davao de Oro.

Affected Area: Ilizaldi District
Consequences of the disaster: Death, injury and loss of dozens of people.
As well as serious damage.
Food supply aims to provide the necessary needs in times of crisis.
Which reflects the UAE’s firm approach to providing assistance and support to those affected by natural disasters.
His Excellency Mohamed Al-Qatam, Ambassador of State to the Republic of the Philippines, commented:
“The dispatch of food supplies is part of the necessary needs provision in times of crisis.
Especially during natural disasters, which result in severe food shortages and require intervention to support affected populations.”
He reiterated the UAE’s continued efforts to provide assistance and support to those affected by the devastating floods in Davao de Oro.
Which is reflecting the UAE’s long-established approach since the late Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He also praised the guidance of the UAE wise leadership.
Which has always provided support and urgent response to nations and peoples in times of crisis and disaster.
Philippines Thanks the UAE
His Excellency Rex Gachelyan, Secretary of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippines thanked the UAE for its continuous support for the Philippines.
Especially in the time of crisis, His Excellency Said:
“Thanking the UAE and its wise leadership for the humanitarian response and standing with the Philippines in times of need.”
This assistance reflects the UAE’s firm commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by natural disasters worldwide.
