AFC Champions League Elite: A New Extension By Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has unveiled the first promotional campaigns for the updated version of one of Asia’s premier club tournaments.
Starting from this year, it will be known as the AFC Champions League Elite.
This new competition is an extension of the AFC Champions League and the Asian Club Championship, which began back in 1967.
The inaugural season of the AFC Champions League Elite kicks off this year.
It promises to open a new and exciting chapter in Asian football.
The tournament will feature top clubs from across Asia competing for the newly-minted trophy.
Prizes and Match Predictor:
Fans have a chance to win exciting prizes through the official Match Predictor game.
While the participants can predict match outcomes for all 96 fixtures across eight Matchdays in the League Stage.
Points are awarded for correct predictions, adding to the excitement of the competition.
Global Travel for the Trophy:
The original AFC Champions League Elite trophy will travel to each of the 12 participating member associations.
The journey will take it through Australia, China, Iraq, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Qatar, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.
Final decisive match will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on May 4, 2025.
Additional Competitions:
Alongside the AFC Champions League Elite, there will be the AFC Women’s Champions League™ and AFC Champions League Two™.
