ADNOC has announced that is using the advanced reservoir management tool “AR360,” developed by AIQ.
Ar360 tool is used in more than 30 oil reservoirs across ADNOC exploration, development, and production operations.
This follows its successful trial use by the first few months of 2024 at two oil reservoirs at Al-Bab and Umm Shaif fields, both operated by ADNOC.
The new tool is developed in collaboration between AIQ and SLB.
It aligns with ADNOC’s strategy for artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology.
The goal of using it is to improve reservoir management and enhance oil and gas field development plans.
ADNOC and AIQ Are Using Advanced AI Technologies
Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, ADNOC’s Executive Director for Exploration, Development, and Production, said:
“The usage of AR360 tool across many oil reservoirs reflects ADNOC’s success.
By leveraging advanced AI technologies to increase the value of the UAE’s natural resources.”
He added that ADNOC will continue to accelerate the use of AI solutions.
This is in its ongoing efforts to responsibly meet the growing global energy demand.
Starting from control rooms to executive boardrooms, in its ongoing efforts to responsibly meet the growing global energy demand.
That will be based on its long-term investments in innovation and technology.

What Can the Tool “AR360” Do ?
The use of this new tool helps in reducing the required time to prepare development plans.
It also extends the lifespan of wells and increases oil recovery rates.
Achieved by balancing the drilling of new wells, enhancing the performance of existing wells, and optimizing the amounts of injection and production materials.
Mazen Kanisbay, Acting CEO of AIQ, said:
“The expanded usage of AR360 tool by ADNOC highlights the success of AIQ’s technology.
It strengthens AIQ’s position as a global leader in providing AI technologies for the energy sector.
Also, he stated that AIQ remains committed to enhancing operational efficiency across all aspects of energy value chain.
With a particular focus on exploration, development, and production, to increase the value of the sector.
ADNOC and AIQ will continue to develop gas and oil exploration tools after the huge success of using AR360 in 30 oil reservoirs.
