Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial Welcomes Visitors for the First Time in the History.
Last weekend, “Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial” kicked off, unveiling an impressive array of arts and activities.
This event is a key pillar of “Abu Dhabi Public Art” initiative, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
Visitors from all ages and cultural backgrounds flocked to the heart of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. So they can explore the first Abu Dhabi Biennial.
What Can You Explore in the 8 Artwork Routes ?
The exhibition will continue until April 30th, exploring a range of ideas and concepts.
During last weekend, visitors explored the eight artwork routes.
Those routes featured unique works by more than 70 artists from the UAE and around the world.
The artists works collectively express how public life in Abu Dhabi is shaped.
By the city’s environmental conditions, community lifestyle, authenticity, architecture, and urban planning.
The biennial routes are designed to encourage visitors to explore Abu Dhabi’s iconic sites by car or on foot.
Or event to re-discover them in unprecedented ways.

New Concept for Public Spaces Engagement with Audience
This year, Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennial holds the title “Public Matter”.
The Biennial is running from November 15, 2024, to April 30, 2025.
Notable participants include Farah Al Qasimi, Oscar Murillo, and Zeinab Alhashemi.
Highlights include large-scale events such as the tribute of Abu Dhabi’s Central Bus Terminal.
As well as the artistic explorations of the region’s oceanic heritage.
This event is part of a broader initiative titled “Public Art Abu Dhabi,” which aims to make art available for everyone.
Besides fostering a sense of shared cultural identity and pride and redefining the way of public spaces engagement with local and global audience through artistic storytelling.
