Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub signed an agreement with International Energy Resources (IER).
According to this agreement, the hub will build an advanced facility for aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and engine testing in Dubai South.
What is Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub ?
Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub is a dedicated aviation platform for the growth and development of the aviation industry in Dubai.
Currently, it operates in:
- Energy solutions and gas turbines
- Providing in-house engineering services
- Production support
- Maintenance supervision in the refurbishment and repair of gas turbines for light industries and aviation derivatives
New Advanced Facility for Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and More
The new facility will cover an area of 880,000 square feet.
Moreover, it is offering various services such as the production, maintenance, and refurbishment of gas turbine engine components.
As well as performance testing.
It will also feature a unique engine testing cell designed to assess both aircraft engines and their industrial derivatives.
With an initial capacity to handle 50 engines annually.
As per expectations, the facility completion will be on two phases.
The first phase will be in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the second in the third quarter of 2027.
