Abdullah bin Zayed Hands Over A Written Letter by Da Silva to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Handed HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a written letter from Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the President of Brazil.
Moreover, the letter was handed over to HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, during a meeting in Abu Dhabi with Mauro Vieira, the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During their meeting, they discussed several areas of mutual interest related to the strong friendship and strategic partnership between the UAE and Brazil.
Mentioning that this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
As they were established in June 1974.
UAE and Brazil: Advanced and Growing Relations
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed Mauro Vieira’s visit and explored avenues for cooperation and partnership across various fields.
Including economic, trade, cultural, investment, developmental, and climate-related aspects.
He emphasized that the UAE maintains advanced and growing relations with the Federative Republic of Brazil.
As the both friendly countries are keen to leverage all available opportunities to enhance and solidify this exceptional relationship across various domains.
Serving their mutual interests and benefiting their peoples.
The meeting also touched upon Brazil’s priorities during its presidency of G20.
The UAE: An Active Participant in G20
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s active and distinctive participation in the G20.
Supporting the priorities set by Brazil presidency, focused on combating hunger and poverty, sustainable development, energy transitions, and global governance.
The ministers also discussed overall regional and international developments and exchanged viewpoints.

Following the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed hosted a dinner in honor of Mauro Vieira, the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the accompanying delegation.
