Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Hungary’s Foreign Minister in Budapest
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
This was during a work visit by His Highness to Budapest.
Discussions on Cooperation:
Szijjártó welcomed His Highness’ visit, and they discussed avenues for cooperation between the UAE and Hungary in all fields.
They also explored opportunities to advance cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, investment, tourism, and logistics.
Moreover, they touched upon the Economic Cooperation Agreement signed between the two countries in March 2024.
Highlighting the importance of building upon the agreement to stimulate economic and trade cooperation.
And also to strengthen partnerships between the private sectors of both nations.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the depth of relations between the UAE and Hungary.
As well as the commitment of both countries to solidify a model of fruitful and sustainable cooperation.
His Highness referred to Hungary as a significant partner for the UAE, expressing his wishes for Hungary and its people’s progress and prosperity.
Crisis in the Middle East:
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Szijjártó discussed current developments in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip.
His Highness stressed the importance of concerted international efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire, contributing to the protection of all civilians.
Adding that His Highness emphasized the importance of strengthening delivery channels.
In order to deliver humanitarian assistance in a safe, intensive, and sustained manner without obstacles.

This visit demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Hungary in various fields.
