Over the next three years, the center will produce three sets of specialized regulations relevant to global trade.
HE Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said:
“The adoption of advanced technologies is accelerating in all sectors.
Moreover, it is important that the international trade keeps pace with these developments now more than ever.
We need to re-evaluate current regulatory frameworks to keep pace with digital transformation and address the future.”
He added: “The GEPCT, as part of the TradeTech Initiative, is designed to keep pace with technological developments in all fields.
And also to provide means for start-ups to access markets.
In addition, it provides a platform for adopting regulatory policies that anticipate the future, adapt to it, promote innovation, protect stakeholders, and ensure the flexibility of global trade systems.”
