DIHAD 2024 in Dubai
Dubai International Humanitarian and Development Exhibition “DIHAD 2024” will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 23 to 25 April.
The 20th session of “DIHAD 2024” is under the slogan “Diplomacy and the culture of humanitarian action… A vision for the future “.
Moreover, the event is bringing together decision makers from various humanitarian actors.
In order to highlight humanitarian issues and promote cooperation to build a better future.
The organizers of the event declared the Kingdom of Norway to be this year’s guest of honor.
Mentioning that DIHAD is expected to attract 16,000 participants and visitors from 154 countries.
Topics
This year exhibition involves more than 900 NGOs, humanitarian associations and global brands.
Adding that this year’s discussion themes include:
Humanitarian diplomacy, human security, access to services, climate change and displacement.
As well as the research into global health challenges and the role of new actors.
“DIHAD 2024” events include the participation of 131 humanitarian speakers worldwide, discussing vital topics across 24 main sessions.
In addition to 144 innovative workshops, providing important training and researching solutions in the field of humanitarian diplomacy.
The exhibition also includes special pavilions for the States of China, Denmark, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, Uzbekistan and Zambia.
As well as the United Nations and a number of local and international organizations such as:
The International Committee of the Red Cross, the Red Crescent and other humanitarian institutions.
Review of challenges
Ambassador Gerhard Putman Kramer, Executive Director of DIHAD Foundation for Sustainable Humanitarian Action and Director of DISAB, referred to the review of “DIHAD” basic principles of humanitarian diplomacy.
Including international humanitarian law and human rights and its future.
He emphasized the importance of accepting universal humanitarian principles and reaching out to beneficiaries.
Noting the current challenges facing aid organizations and how to ensure the safety of aid providers.

The 20th session of DIHAD takes place in conjunction with the 15 session of The International Emergency and Catastrophe Management Conference – IECM.
Which provides a platform for:
- Research and rescue workers to review their products and equipment
- Emergency and disaster management solutions and innovations.
DIHAD is persisting in its nearly two-decade journey, launching projects in collaboration with many organizations and institutions worth over 705 million Euro and reaching over 197 countries worldwide.
