His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, today received Mr. Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States of America, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting held at Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness and the US Secretary of State discussed the cooperative relations and joint efforts between the two countries.
As well as the ways to strengthen them in various fields in a way that achieves their mutual interests.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Stressed on the Importance of Protecting Palestinian Residents
The meeting also touched on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Including developments in the Middle East.
Particularly the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In addition to the dangerous repercussions of the crisis in the Gaza Strip on peace, stability, and security in the entire region.
His Highness, the President, emphasized the need to work for a ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
In order to protect the lives of civilians and ensure the provision of a permanent secure mechanisms for delivering humanitarian relief aid to Gaza Strip residents without hindrance, and prevent their displacement.
Both sides stressed the importance of working to prevent the expansion of the conflict that threatens regional peace.
As well as finding clear prospects for comprehensive and lasting peace in the region as the way to achieve regional stability.
