The United Arab Emirates (UAE) are keen to keep on top of their allies needs during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 20,000 COVID-19 test kits and other medical supplies delivered to Pakistan from the UAE on Thursday.
At this stage, Coronavirus spread across 180 different countries. Many countries overrun by an extreme number of infected cases. Medical supplies are in incredibly short supply. The kind efforts of the UAE will save many lives.
Further medical supply drops planned
Pakistan and the UAE have a history of friendly relations. Many times the people of Pakistan have been in need of assistance and the UAE has responded with kindness. This current pandemic is no different.
20,000 testing kits are a good start, but it won’t stem the tide of Coronavirus by itself. The UAE has pledged it dedicated support to the people of Pakistan. Further shipments of medical supplies will deliver to the country over the following days.
The United Arab Emirates has now sent medical supplies to several other nations, hoping to help their fight against the Coronavirus. Supplies sent to Serbia, Iran, Croatia, Afghanistan, China and more.
Solidarity is the key to defeating Coronavirus
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi tweeted: “We are honoured to serve all people that live in the United Arab Emirates. It gives us great pride to hear them singing the national anthem at such a challenging time. We will overcome this through solidarity.”
The UAE is a world leader in crisis response. When Coronavirus infections first started to sweep across the globe, the United Arab Emirates was already prepared. Humanitarian efforts are close to the hearts of many people in the Emirates and the sharing of medical supplies with others only further demonstrates this.
