An interactive map of these rest stations will be available.
Workers can access these maps easily during the “midday work ban” period.
Mentioning that the “midday work ban” starts on June 15 and runs until September 15.

This initiative comes as part of efforts to preserve the health and safety of delivery workers.
By providing them with a safe working environment.

The best safe and healthy work environment

The Ministry affirmed its continued efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving the best safe and healthy work environment for workers.
This is in partnership with government entities, the private sector, and members of society.
And also within the joint awareness framework, which stresses the importance of achieving the highest health standards and protecting workers.

The Ministry explained that the delivery services sector falls within the important logistics sectors.
It is also characterized by the fact that its workers are not present in one place during the application of the “midday work ban”.
Mentioning the nature of some of the transported materials, which require delivery at the appropriate time.

This step comes in continuation of the initiative launched last year, which provided 365 secure and air-conditioned rest stations for delivery workers.

The “midday work ban” obliges employers to provide shaded places for workers to rest.
And also to provide appropriate cooling tools and means with cold drinking water and first aid at the work site.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation welcomes reports from community members about any violations through the call center at 600590000.
And also through the Ministry’s smart application and website.
