2023 recorded a strong growth for the UAE airports.
Including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah, supported by robust economic, commercial, and tourism activity.
According to data from OAG, an international organization specializing in airport and airline data, the number of flights across the UAE’s airports reached 314,700 in 2023.
Compared to 236,700 flights in 2022, representing a growth of 32.9%, indicating the strong performance of air traffic in the UAE.
The Total Number of Flights Operated Across the UAE’s Airports Was Distributed As Follows:
- 33,000 flights in December 2023
- 26,600 flights in November
- 26,900 flights in October
- 26,000 flights in September
- 27,400 flights in August
- 26,800 flights in July
The national airports also received 25,200 flights in June 2023, 25,300 flights in May and 24,400 flights in April.
In addition to 25,000 flights in March, 22,600 flights in February, and 25,000 flights in January.
2023 Recorded A Strong Air Traffic Through Dubai International Airport
Dubai International Airport has outperformed many of its regional and global counterparts.

- Services provided to passengers.

This is in terms of scheduled seat capacity on departing international flights, according to reports from OAG.
However, the total number of scheduled seats on international flights through Dubai International Airport reached 5 million in December, the highest ever (10 million seats in both directions).
The airport continues to record strong growth rates with an increase in the number of flights and the opening of new terminals.
