United Arab Emirates sends 100 tons of home generators to Ukrainian civilians
The UAE has announced that it is sending a plane carrying 100 tons of generators to civilians affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
In order to help them in facing the harsh winter conditions.
The aid includes 1,640 home generators, with capacities ranging from 3.5 kilowatts to 8 kilowatts.
The UAE yesterday transported part of the home generators to the Polish capital Warsaw.
While the remaining generators will reach Ukraine by Jan 2024.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, affirmed that:
“This aid comes as part of the UAE’s continuous humanitarian support to contribute to alleviating the severity of the humanitarian repercussions facing the friendly Ukrainian people.
As a result of the current crisis.
And also reflects the UAE’s deep-rooted values in providing support and relief to peoples in times of need.”

For his part, Majed bin Kamal, Director of Support and Humanitarian Aid at the International Affairs Office at the Presidency, and the person responsible for the aid file, said:
“The UAE will continue to send other shipments containing aid for the education and health sectors.
In addition to completing winter aid during this month and the beginning of the new year.
This is in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
Humanitarian Aid Worth 100 Million US Dollars.
It is noteworthy that the UAE has provided urgent relief supplies to affected civilians in Ukraine since the beginning of the crisis.
Including humanitarian aid worth 100 million US dollars.
In addition to an air bridge, which included 12 planes so far carrying about 714 tons of relief supplies and essential food and medical supplies.
As well as 2520 generators, 60 ambulances, 2500 laptops and 10,000 school bags.
The UAE also sent a ship carrying 250 tons of relief supplies.
Including blankets, personal items and lighting lamps, which were sent to Poland and Romania and then transported to Ukrainian territory.
In addition, the UAE sent planes carrying relief supplies to Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries such as Poland, Moldova and Bulgaria.
The humanitarian importance of Emirati aid
The Emirati aid comes as a ray of hope for Ukrainian civilians who are suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions.
The generators sent by the UAE will provide civilians with the necessary power.
In order to operate essential household appliances.
Such as heating and lighting.
And will also contribute to providing a source of energy for hospitals, schools and other vital facilities.
The other Emirati aid, such as food and medical aid, will help civilians meet their basic needs in these difficult circumstances.

The United Arab Emirates is committed to providing humanitarian support to peoples affected by crises, and has done so since its inception.
In 2022, the UAE provided 1.4 billion US dollars in humanitarian aid to more than 40 countries affected by crises.
Including Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen.
This aid comes as an embodiment of the UAE’s deep-rooted values in providing support and relief to peoples in times of need.
