10 Million Meals Campaign wins 6 awards from Christa Awards
The 10 Million Meals Campaign launched by the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UAE Food Bank, constituted a global model for a rapid response to the pandemic Covid-19 and the production of a comprehensive national movement and integrated community solidarity to provide urgent food support to those affected by the repercussions of the global health crisis, its impact not only on inspiring the pioneers of charitable, humanitarian and social work but also in its idea, design and implementation appreciation of prestigious international awards specialized in honoring the most influential initiatives around the world.
10 Million Meals Campaign Contributions
The 10 million meals campaign was organized by the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation (MBRGI)” in cooperation with the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19, was registered and implemented by the UAE Food Bank and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Foundation, and “Suqia Emirates”, contributions worth more than 15.3 million meals, as more than 1000 volunteers from UAE participated in the campaign from individuals, citizens and residents of more than 115 nationalities.
Under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, the campaign produced a comprehensive community and institutional interaction with its humanitarian goals. The campaign received contributions amounting to 6.8 million meals from charitable and social work organizations, contributions amounting to 6.8 million meals, and the equivalent value of 5.7 million meals from the corporate and business sectors.
